  • A walk around the Ercall and The Wrekin. The Royal Geographical Society, as part of its Discovering Britain series, have documented a walk around the Ercall and the Wrekin. The 8 mile walk is a circuit of The Wrekin and surrounding area and tells the story of the mountain and its surrounding area including its geological diversity, ecological diversity, prehistoric features and human activities over the centuries. The walk was created by local historian George Evans with a little help from his son, Paul. It is a self-guided walk presented in both audio format (with commentary by George and Paul) and written format. Both can be downloaded for free from the Discovering Britain website.

  • Walking with the Ancestors A heritage trail around the town. Also has links to other LA21 routes.

  • From Wellington History Group    Wellington Back in Tine Walk A heritage trail around the town.

We have been helping  Wellington LA21 with their project to produce 3 walking routes around Wellington on the iFootPath platform. iFootpath has been taken over but these links still work.
