to promote Wellington to walkers elsewhere.

Wellington Walking Festival 2025

8th to 14th  September

Our  2025 festival featured 33 walks ranging from gentle strolls to a strenuous 13.5 mile walk, with something to suit everyone.  There was a showing of The Salt Path film too.

All the events happened as planned. We were relatively lucky with the weather, apart from 2 of the walks on the last day. We think it went well. There are lots of photos on Facebook, there will be a few  on our  Festival 2025 Gallery  in due course

The full programme can still  be downloaded here. It was available in printed form in various outlets in the town, including the library, Morrisons and the Orbit

Last year we responded to requests for a facility to  give donations by BACS.  Please click here for details.

If you have taken part in any of the events, it would be helpful if you could tell us what you thought of the event, via the feedback form at https://forms.gle/QVHQmKW3pBx8vnzb7

2024 Festival Feedback

This will be updated for 2025 soon.

We have analysed your feedback and taken note of the suggestions for improvement..

Here are some typical comments:

"Wonderful event - thank you to all involved for their hard work. I wish I had done more of them."

"very interesting discovered some footpaths didn't know that were there"

"Probably my best Wellington walk ever, perfect weather, great team and walkers. Nice easy walking through Apley reserve and on to Wappenshall wharf learning about the renovation of the canal buildings (and a great cup of tea) and Eyton Hall- followed by picnic on the lawn of a stately home. Hard to beat. Can I do it again next year?"

"Interesting route and very knowledgeable leader made this another great walk. The red church stop was a bonus. Very well organised, lots of information, good stopping points enabled absorption and reflection on information given"
